Salt is NOT a Flavour!

I'm not a fantastic cook. I like to cook, but I don't pretend to be a master chef. That being said, I feel quite confident when I say the following: "Salt is not a fucking flavour!!!" To quote the fine folks over at Bon Appetit Magazine, "salt is a flavour enhancer, not a flavour on its own." Someone must translate that article into Mongolian in order to explain to most Mongolian chefs/cooks/roadside restaurant owners that there's really no need add massive amounts of salt to everything that passes human lips! I kid you not, they even add salt to the tea! No joke, salty tea. What next? Shrimp-flavoured yogurt?
